 Special Session On

Ambient Intelligence in Data Science and Visualization (AIDSV)

 At ICO 2018

At the event of the First International Conference on Intelligent Computing & Optimization (ICO) in Pattaya, Thailand, at October 4-5, 2018 (https://www.icico.info/), we invite brilliant ideas as submissions to a Special Session on Ambient Intelligence in Data Science and Visualization. Immensely massive amounts of data are now and lawfully available on the Web. This data is generally heterogeneous and merely structured. Data mining and Machine learning models, which have developed to automatically retrieve, transfer or cluster observations on exceedingly immense yet homogeneous data collections have to be thought. Further theoretical challenges include how to tackle problem difficulties with various target classes, apt optimization techniques to smart data dilemmas. Structured/sequential prediction models for smart data problems such as predictions also gained importance in recent years.

With our Special Session at ICO 2018, we aim to foster the collaboration in the intersection between the fields of Foundation Algorithms, theories for Data Science techniques to represent state-of-the-art Data Mining platform to Smart Data contributions as going to be present and discussed at ICO 2018. Herewith, the Session Organizers wish to encourage excellent research and interaction in the vibrant fields of modern computing. This special session pursues solutions on interdisciplinary gaps between data and intelligent approaches.

A selection of the best papers will be recommended for publication in special issues of scientific journals, or as an edited book.

Topics of interest related to Ambient Intelligence: but not limited to

  1. Foundations, models and theory of data mining, including big data mining.

  2. Machine learning and statistical methods for data mining.

  3. Data mining systems and platforms, and their efficiency, scalability, security and privacy.

  4. Data mining for modeling, visualization, personalization, and recommendation.

  5. Applications of data mining in social sciences, physical sciences, engineering, life sciences, web, marketing, finance, precision medicine, health informatics, and other domains.

  6. Healthcare Data Visualization.

  7. Computational steering for long-running data mining applications.
